Press info

Syntax Erik is Raymond Hansen, originally from Tromsø, now living in Oslo. He released his debut EP as K.Y.D in 1997, and a string of 12"-ers in 2000/2001 as a part of the duo Kyd & Kango (collected on the High Above CD on Beatservice in 2001). An EP was released under the Syntax Erik name in 2002 on Rune Lindbæk's Romklang label, and he has later done a bunch of remixes.

He has now signed for a string of EP's on Beatservice Records. The first one, Keep It Deep EP, was released in April, and got great feedback and was supported by a lot of DJ’s around the globe, from the likes of Strictly Underground, So Deep Radio Show, and DJ’s like Robert Owens, Flash Atkins, Tim Sweeney (Beats in Space), DJ Nova, Al Bradley, DJ Solveg, Radha Kotliarsky/The EDM Network and Norway’s Olle Abstract, Rune Lindbæk and DJ Friendly.

"I Can Feel You EP" is the second in the series. It consists of three housey tracks, starting off with the banging dancefloor frenzy of Midnight Express, before moving into the deep and dubby I Can Feel You, and then further to the deep and moody soundscapes of Blindness You Can't Focus. As with the first EP, this EP also rounds off with a remix. Oslo producers De Fantastiske To (Paper, Omena, Truckfunk) have used their groovy magic on Midnight Express.
